Adele Horton is an accomplished artist based in Florida, originally from New England, whose passion for art has blossomed since the third grade. Over the years, she has lived in various U.S. locations, yet her heart has found a home in Florida for the past 21 years. With a strong foundation in the arts, Adele excelled in high school and pursued her education at William Woods University, a small liberal arts college where she majored in art and business.

Following her graduation, Adele relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where she deepened her artistic skills at the Columbus College of Art and Design. There, she studied drawing, painting, and design, honing her technique in plein air painting—an art form she has embraced throughout her career. Adele primarily works in oil, though she is also adept in watercolor and pastels.

Recently, Adele has actively participated in various Paint-out endeavors, showcasing her talent at prominent events such as the New Smyrna Beach Paint-Out for the past three years. Her dedication culminated in receiving third place at the 2023 St. Augustine Paint-Out. With a background in business, Adele owned a small business for 21 years, which she has since passed on to her son. Now semi-retired, she is fervently pursuing her art career and has exhibited her work at the St. Augustine Art Association and the Artist Workshop Gallery in New Smyrna Beach.
