Alex Ottich
Alex Ottich is a classically trained architectural illustrator and concept designer whose work blends fine art precision with visionary design. Born in Russia and holding a Master’s degree in Architecture from the prestigious Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg (1986–1992), Alex has spent over two decades creating evocative visual narratives for clients around the globe.
Now based in Orlando, Florida, Alex has worked independently since 2014 with GAI Consultants and, since 2006, with AECOM Design and Planning in Orlando, Atlanta, and Miami. His past experience includes a pivotal role at Genesis Studios (1998–2006), where he provided design and illustration services for major international projects such as Dubai’s Palm Island, Cardiff City Centre (Wales, UK), and the Town of Celebration (Florida).
A longtime collaborator with Walt Disney World (1995–2010), Alex contributed illustrations and conceptual work for iconic resorts including the Grand Floridian, Yacht and Beach Club, and the Boardwalk. His client list also includes Universal Studios, Marriott International, Starwood Resorts, and architecture firms such as HOK and Backer-Barrios.
Alex’s artwork has earned numerous accolades, including the AIP 15 Award of Excellence (2000), the Linda Mack Award from AIA Jacksonville (2019), and multiple honors from the St. Augustine Art Association, such as First Place in Fantastic Florida (2024) and Best in Show for Miniature Marvels (2025).
Blending architectural expertise with artistic sensitivity, Alex’s work invites viewers into imagined spaces that feel vivid, immersive, and timeless.
