Adriana Cabezas Lulkoski

Adriana Cabezas de Lulkoski was born in Mexico City and studied ballet at La Escuela Nacional de Danca de Belles Artes for 15 years. Simultaneously, she studied art at several schools in Mexico. Adriana earned her Bachelor's Degree in Artes Plasticas at the Universidad de San Fernando in Madrid. She also studied painting at Cercle Artisca de Sant Lluc in Barcelona.

Her earliest influence was her father, José Cabezas, who is an accomplished fine arts painter from Spain. Her father later turned to writing and illustrating a series of cartoons that were, for decades, among the most popular cartoons throughout Latin America.

To create her art, Adriana draws from her love of nature and her lifelong passion for dance. Adriana is inspired by the striking beauty, within innocence, displayed by birds and flowers. Many of her works showcase muscles in motion, with ballerinas and horses being among her preferred subjects.

Now living in St. Augustine, Adriana misses the rustic beauty of Mexico and Spain, so she enjoys depicting scenes from her fondest memories of the old countries. Recently, Adriana has been using an array of natural stone as the foundation of her art. The beauty of the stone lends rough texture and color variations that only nature can dream up.

Over the centures-long formation of stone, a mynad of stores, Jaces, and gures have become trapped within. When peering into the stone, Adriana often discovers their secret enigmatic histories and uses her paint brush and mixed media to help the characters relate their ancient mysteries.

If fantasy delights you, take a careful look at Adriana's fairies, mermaids, and animal characters. Many of Adriana's beloved characters, whose stories are being told in Adriana's forthcoming books, have been delighting children of all ages, and in many nations.

Adriana specializes in using mixed media to create customized orders. Having won numerous awards in Mexico and Spain, Adriana has illustrated several children's books, designed murals, and paints portraits. Adriana is now turning her artistic aspirations to the telling of Saint Augustine's history - the antiquities of old are springing from yet older stone, with some surprises and fantasy also popping out.
